FEC, in collaboration with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), implemented a workshop on the importance of waste management, with the aim of enhancing the role of the local community in solid waste management and encouraging recycling practices.

The workshop included a lecture for students and teachers, highlighting the importance of waste management and the benefits of recycling from a social, environmental, and economic perspective. After the workshop, the students sorted waste from their homes and collected it at the school, and were motivated with incentive rewards to actively participate in the sorting process, to promote sustainable practices from the individual to the community level.
